Who is Susie?

Susie says: 'I have always loved making things. From my first attempts at sewing as a child to crochet, embroidery, paper crafts, you name it, I've probably had a go. So a few years ago, I decided to try my hand at baking. The result was a four tier wedding cake with chocolate, vanilla and fruit cake tiers, something for everyone! Since then I have been asked to create cakes for birthdays. christenings, work events and parties.

I love the process. The planning, deciding on a look and the flavours and decorations. And I love the execution; measuring the ingredients, mixing them together and sliding the tin into the oven with that little bit of hope that everything turns out as it should. Then on to the filling and stacking, piping the frosting and sprinkling the sprinkles. All to create a cake that fits the occasion perfectly.'
